Hugh Featherstone Blyth
as Edwin’s grandfather, i’m personally concerned in the struggle. taking my little man for loooong walks and helping him assume ‘ownership' of his illness (we talk a lot, it does us good and i take him very seriously) is one way i can contribute concretely to his progress and/or survival. and the longer his condition remains stable, the more we all become aware that there is a future here and we can’t afford to risk not reaching it just because we grew weary of the uphill slog.
